After hurricane Helene came through, our home needed a total roof replacement, and we were adamantly against utilizing out of town storm chasers. After asking for recommendations on local businesses that were preferably veteran owned, we narrowed the pool down from about 20 recommendations. Blount's is proudly veteran owned, and a local family owned business. Upon sending a message on Facebook messenger to reach out, Blount's responded quickly, communicated efficiently, were knowledgeable, and willing to work with our insurance company on a total roof replacement. Father and son came out within a couple of days to give us a free assessment, and to answer any questions we may have had. The contract was simple and easy to understand, and they gave us our own copy for our records. My husband and I really appreciated the warm family feel of the customer service. When we arrived to the office the next day to pay our insurance provided deposit, they had prepared example swatches of colors we had expressed interest in during our meeting the previous day. During the visit we expressed our interest in switching out the proposed turtle vents, to our preferred ridge vent. For every concern, question, and/or preference they were very warm and accommodating, and the roof replacement was scheduled for just 2 days later. The crew were fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. They were able to complete the entire project by the evening of the same day, and cleaned up as they worked- so we were not left with any mess.  The day of the project, owner and son came out personally to the work site to check in. They also came out personally the next day, to inspect the quality of the finished project, and to make sure we were happy with everything.
The entire process from first contact to project completion took less than a week. The price was very reasonable, and was covered by insurance. While the price was reasonable, the materials were good quality, and not just the cheapest option available. Blount's guarantees their workmanship for 2 years, and the matierials have a 25 year manufacturer's warranty. We would highly recommend Blount's for any disaster repair or construction needs. I cannot express enough just how pleased we are with Blounts. On Christmas Eve of 2022 my 93 year old mother had a pipe burst from the below freezing temps. Before we could get the water turned off the ceiling caved in and flooded the entire house. As you can imagine this was quite traumatic for a 93 year old who was expecting to spend her holiday with her family and friends. We called several companies but Blounts was the only one to answer their phone. They told us they would be there within an hour and they were. They brought an entire crew on the afternoon of Christmas Eve and went right to work. They even called in additional help when they saw how much clean up was required. They were professional and timely. They put us at ease by explaining that they would handle the insurance since they were experienced in working with all insurance companies. They stayed until they got it cleaned up and dried the house out. Since we were so impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism on the disaster cleanup, my siblings and I decided to get them to do the restoration as well. We could not have been happier with their services. They restored my mothers house and she is so pleased with how everything looks. They ALWAYS responded to our calls. If they did not answer when we called, within 30 minutes they returned the call….EVERY TIME. They put my mother at ease and did their work in a timely manner. No concern we had was too big or too small for them. They treated us with kindness and respect and were very empathetic to the fact that my mother needed to get back in her home. They are true professionals and I would recommend them without reservation. Their experience in working insurance claims made the process seamless and stress free. They handled it all. Mr. Blount and his team were very professional and about their business. They worked in stages to repair my home after a car ran into it, if I had any concerns Mr. Blount was always available via text or phone call. He was patient during all processes of payment and never stressed me on time frame. Mr. Blount and his team is and was a true blessing during the entire process of repairing my home.
